First question: Why did you folks see the need to invest time in fostering new writers?

Al right guys,

what I've seen is that there are so many websites who are giving writers the chance to publish their writing on the internet and I'd like to hear from them as to what drives them to do this, what their experiences are with running their websites, which writers they discover and why they're even bothering to do it.
